Self-Confidence – This does not always come naturally, but self-confidence can be developed over a period of time. Through the setting and achieving of martial art goals confidence increases with each lesson, giving the student the confidence to earn a Black Belt. ATA Martial Arts instills a sense of discipline and self-confidence that can carry over to all aspects of life.
Self-Defense – ATA Martial Arts & Karate For Kids utilize age appropriate self defense strategies and techniques. Our goal is to defend our selves from attack albeit a bully, a rapist, or a mugger. We believe the mind is the #1 weapon for self defense. But knowing you can physically defend yourself; will increase your self esteem and self confidence which will reduce the probability of being attacked.
Fitness – The principles of the techniques are based on the design of your body. Gross motor muscles are developed for power. Flexibility and Fast Twitch muscles are developed for speed. As you progress you will learn to coordinate the power, speed and flexibility to maximize the result.
